BidVariance turns ranges of estimates into possible project costs and schedules. Its purpose is to help people inspect the assumptions behind a fixed-price bid, compare alternatives and explain a decision with more than a single optimistic number.
The product combines free estimating tools and educational resources with a licensed simulation app. The app runs calculations locally in the browser and stores projects on your device. The server handles license verification; it does not hold a cloud copy of your estimates.
A tool you can inspect
The methodology describes the calculation model and its limits. The documentation explains inputs, exports and local storage. The free templates provide illustrative, editable starting points.
Results depend on your assumptions. BidVariance is decision-support software, not a promise of profit or delivery performance. Transparent estimates and independent review remain essential.
